Earlimart – the L.A.-based duo of Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray – are coming out with their first release in four years, since 2008′s Hymn and Her. Their press people are saying the album, titled the Apple-era System Preferences, “touches on disillusionment with and acceptance of technology, complex relationships, and lost weekends.” Those themes don’t have much in common but they’re probably applicable to most of us. And the first single, “97 Heart Attack,” is definitely worth a listen or two.
